Over the course of the year we will have three marking periods. We use number grades to assess the students; to receive a 4 your child must have 92% or higher for their overall grades, a 3 is 80%-91%, a 2 is 65%-79%, and a 1 is 64% or below. This is the district wide grading criteria. Additionally, the students must be on-grade in reading in order to receive a 3, and above-reading level to receive a 4; anything lower is either a 1 or 2. Lastly, each student will also be graded based on individual effort, participation and compliance of the rules as well as regular class work, and homework.
